Coffee Lotus
A moment to unwind in the city.
A quiet Nihonbashi kissaten, Coffee Lotus serves thoughtfully prepared light meals and dark roast coffee, including sandwiches layered with house-made mayonnaise, seasonal fruit sandwiches, and parfaits.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
When a sandwich plate arrives accompanied by fresh, glistening fruit, it is easy to forget the bustle of central Nihonbashi outside. Coffee Lotus keeps an appetizing spread of kissaten classics and sweets, each prepared with evident care and attention.
The savory side of the menu begins with a variety of sandwiches assembled on bread spread with house-made mayonnaise. Options range from simple mashed hard-boiled egg to classic ham and egg, as well as a cucumber tartar sandwich accented with lemon-pickled onions. A seasonal fruit sandwich filled with house-whipped cream adds a sweeter dimension, while combination plates like the ham, egg, and fruit sandwich or the egg, vegetable, and fruit sandwich offer the best of both worlds.
For warm comfort, cheese toast, ham and cheese toast, or thick-cut toasted bread are dependable choices. Sweets include parfaits layered with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, seasonal fruits such as muskmelon, and Lotus Biscoff cookies, as well as colorful fruit punch. Alongside rich, full-bodied blend coffee, the drink lineup offers nostalgic kissaten favorites like Viennese coffee capped with whipped cream and vibrant ice cream sodas.
The dining room maintains a calm, quiet atmosphere, and payment is cash only. On weekdays, operating hours are split into 2 shifts around an afternoon break, making it an ideal hideaway when you want to step away from the rush of the day and linger over sandwiches and coffee.
